The martial arts community in India celebrates a historic moment with the launch of the Kobudo Kenjutsu Federation India (KKFI), an esteemed member of the World Kobudo Federation Canada founded in 1968, and striving for Kobudo in the Olympics.
In a groundbreaking initiative, KKFI is set to host the inaugural 1st Akshay Kumar International Kobudo and Kenjutsu Championships in November 2024, marking a significant milestone in the realm of martial arts in the country.
This championship is free of cost and welcomes participation from all martial artists offering an unprecedented opportunity for enthusiasts to showcase their skills.
The championship features a diverse array of events, including Kumite-Sparring with foam weapons such as long swords, dual swords, and long sticks, alongside KATA forms of Kenjutsu -Japanese sword, and Kobudo-Okinawan weaponry, ensuring a dynamic and thrilling competition.
